Seamstress?

I am looking for someone who can tailor a dress for me. I need the sleeves shortened, and possibly the hem shortened too. It should be a pretty simple job for someone with the right equipment and know-how (I have neither :] ) I am willing to pay. Don't really know what is reasonable for a job like this, so feel free to give me an estimate.

Briella's bag sale

Briella's Boutique consignment store (by Walmart in Savoy) has some winter clearance racks (including one children's rack ) -- you can fill a plastic grocery bag for $10.  I was able to get 3 shirts and 4 pairs of pants in one bag.   They have several nice winter jackets as well if you need one for next year.

Dress Website

I found this website, www.eshakti.com.  It has a variety of dresses, and each dress has options, some have different sleeve length, hem length, neckline, and they even have custom height in case you are 5'10" like me.  Average dress price is $60.  Great option to find something modest.

$5 Baby Coats

Just wanted to pass along a deal I spotted...

The Children's Place in Marketplace Mall has put their winter items on clearance. Warm hats w/ ear flaps are $2.99 and a bunch of very nice, warm baby coats are $4.99 each. I'd call them before going to make sure they have the size you need.
