Cookie Bouquet and Decorating

Michael's offers a cookie bouquet/cookie decorating class for $20. Linda Bucey and I signed up for it in February. Since we were the only enrolled participants, the class was cancelled. It was re-scheduled in March, and again not enough particpants were scheduled and it was cancelled. (Linda and I wouldn't have attended this one since one of the dates was a Sunday.) The instructor, Candice, has agreed to work with us to avoid Sunday classes. I offered to contact prospective participants to make a class. I am not sure of the maximum number of participants. I think there must be at least 3 for the class to take place.

It is now scheduled for Friday, May 6 (6-7 pm) and Friday, May 13 (6-8:30 pm). Attendance at both classes is required.

If you are interested, please go to Michael's and sign up. You must pay the $20 to register for the class. It should be really fun if we have a bunch of LDS sisters together at the class. Bring a buddy!!

Hope to see you there! It would be great if we could share our newly learned skill with other sisters later as well.

Tom Thumb production of Rapunzel

The Champaign Urbana Junior Women's Club is producing it's annual play for children in two weeks, April 1,2 and 3 at various times. This year it's "Let your hair down, Rapunzel", and I am in it!!! It's a really cute play, very different from Disney's recent movie, "Tangled". (Can I talk some of you into holding cue cards so I remember my lines???)

Tickets are on sale at Shnucks or the Frogs and Fairies store for $5.

The women's club is a community service organization mainly devoted to literacy for young children. If you have ever had a second grader bring home their very own book, know that it came from the Junior Women's Club. Come enjoy the play if you can!

Cheap Storage Containers

The Savoy Walmart has some awesome plastic storage towers (the ones with drawers) for $2 and $3. They are right behind the jewelry section. I got some to put under my bathroom cabinets at Winfield and they fit, but you still have to move it around to get the drawers to open easily. Still, for $2 it's a lot more organized under there. Their Christmas selections are also 75% off, but that's probably pretty widespread by now.
