Fresh, local eggs really cheap

My friend runs an egg farm just outside of Champaign. She and her father produce 150 dozen eggs a week for the Common Ground Food Co-op in Urbana (local, free-range, pasture-raised hens, conventional feed) that sell for $4-5 a dozen. The Co-op only wants large eggs, though, and my friend's chickens are currently producing an abundance of small eggs.

Therefore, they are currently offering their small eggs for sale "off-farm" for $1 a dozen. You can buy them by the flat, too (2.5 dozen). Bring your own containers, or plan to return the reusable flats. These eggs are FRESH, unlike the store bought eggs that can be months old, and the flavor is unmatched.

You can pick up the eggs at my house here in Urbana or at my friend's house just off of Windsor and Neil. It can be a one-time pickup or a subscription-like service (egg CSA).
